Refer a client to WIDEN — 30% commission

Have a client whose matter sits outside your practice, or that you would rather not take on? Refer them to WIDEN Migration Experts. Keshab Chapagain (registered migration agent, MARN 1576536) deals with the client directly, and you receive 30% of the professional fees we receive from them.

How it works

  1. Open a partner account below. It takes a minute and you sign in with an emailed link, no password.
  2. Refer a client from your portal: their name, contact details and the matter. They must have agreed to the referral.
  3. We take it from there. We contact the client, advise them and, if they engage us, do the work. You can see each referral’s status in your portal.
  4. You are paid monthly, by bank transfer against your invoice, in the month after we receive the client’s payment.

Questions partners ask

How much commission do migration agents get for referring a client to WIDEN?

30% of the professional fees WIDEN receives from the referred client, including consultation fees, excluding GST, government visa charges and disbursements. It is paid monthly by bank transfer against your invoice, after WIDEN receives the client's payment.

Can education agents refer clients, or only registered migration agents?

Both. Registered migration agents join with their MARN and are approved straight away. Education agents and other industry partners join with their business name and ABN and are reviewed before they can refer.

Is it legal to pay or receive a commission for referring a migration client?

Passing on a client's name and contact details is not immigration assistance, so a referral can be made by anyone. The client must agree to the referral and be told the referrer may receive a commission, WIDEN discloses the commission to the client in writing as the Code of Conduct requires, and partners who are not registered migration agents must not give migration advice.

What happens after I refer a client?

WIDEN contacts the client directly, advises them and, if they engage WIDEN, does the work. You can see the referral's status and any commission due in your partner portal.

Which matters can I refer?

Any Australian visa matter: employer sponsorship (482, 186, 494), 407 training visas, skilled and state-nominated visas, partner and family visas, student and graduate visas, refusals and reviews, and skills assessment or RPL.
