Widen CPD is a service line of Widen Migration Experts, operated by Dynamic Consultancy Pty Ltd (ABN 19 167 039 250), an OMARA-approved CPD provider (PPA10000420). This CPD-specific privacy notice supplements the general Widen privacy policy.
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect personal information from participants only for purposes related to CPD delivery, including registration, identity verification (including your MARN where applicable), attendance verification, certificate issue, OMARA reporting, feedback collection, and records retention. For live sessions, we collect attendance data (join and leave times and total duration) via Zoom. Payment information is processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card details.
As an approved CPD provider, we are required to report your successful completion of CPD activities to OMARA. By undertaking a CPD activity with us, you acknowledge that your completion details will be reported to OMARA, and that your records may be disclosed to OMARA on request.
We retain CPD records for at least 2 years from the date of the activity, as required by the CPD Provider Standards. After the retention period, records are securely destroyed or de-identified unless a longer retention is required by law.
Personal information is held in secure cloud storage, encrypted at rest and in transit, under access controls limited to those who require it for a CPD-related purpose. We maintain a documented response procedure for any actual or suspected eligible data breach under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. Records containing personal information are not transferred outside Australia without your consent and an assessment of the receiving jurisdiction’s privacy protections, consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 8.
Any marketing emails we send are sent only to subscribers who have opted in, comply with the Spam Act 2003, and include a functional unsubscribe option. You can opt out at any time.
