482 Nomination Preparation Series

Most CPD teaches the rules. This series teaches the file — how to build a Subclass 482 nomination that holds up, drafted the way a practising RMA actually prepares one, with the regulation cited for every threshold. Three modules, one purchase; complete them in order.

Written and assessed by Keshab Chapagain, RMA — MARN 1576536, registered since 2015. He prepares 482 nomination documentation for fellow agents as documents-only B2B work; these three activities teach that exact workflow. About the author ↓

incl. GST. Individual price A$120 per module.

Enter your MARN to check whether you already own any of the three — if so, the price is reduced and you’re enrolled only in the modules you don’t yet hold.

Prefer one module at a time? A$120 each — same content, certificates and 12-month windows. Enrol in the series later and your MARN knocks A$120 off for each module you own.

Each completion is reported to OMARA individually — OMARA sees three activities, not a bundle. Prices include Australian GST.

Why agents take this series

Nominations fail on evidence, not law.

Most refusals and requests for more information trace back to the same handful of gaps: a position statement that reads like a job ad, salary evidence that doesn't reconcile, advertising that misses a technical requirement.

The rules moved — the files didn't.

Plenty of practices are still lodging on pre-reform templates. Every provision here was checked against the current Federal Register compilation on 29 July 2026.

CPD that pays for itself once.

A$290 — less than most agents pay to have a single nomination pack prepared. You keep the capability and the fee on every employer-sponsored matter after. The 3 points are the incidental part.

What agents say about Widen CPD

★★★★★

"Very informative. Keshab was very knowledgeable and the slides were well prepared. Session ran smoothly. I did Ethics and Code of Conduct, both mandatory CPD's. I will definitely book again."

Cheryl — RMA, verified participant
★★★★★

"I attended two webinars on the same day, one focusing on the Subclass 482 visa and the other on Partner visas… The presenter delivered the content in a clear and practical way, balancing technical details with real examples and useful insights."

Keshab Chapagain, RMA — MARN 1576536

Keshab is a registered migration agent, registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority since 2015. He holds the Graduate Diploma of Australian Migration Law and Practice and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and is currently completing a Diploma of Law through the Legal Profession Admission Board.

He authored these three OMARA-approved activities (DN637, DN638, DN639) from the same workflow he uses preparing 482 nomination documentation for fellow agents — documents-only, white-label B2B work. The series is designed so you can apply the content, not just receive it.

CPD delivered under Widen CPD's OMARA-approved provider arrangement (PPA10000420).

Common questions

How does each module work?

Self-paced private study online, followed by a 10-question assessment. Pass at 80% and you download a dated certificate; the completion is reported to OMARA with the activity number.

How are the points reported to OMARA?

As three separate Category B activities — DN637, DN638 and DN639 — each with its own certificate and activity number. OMARA sees three completions, not a bundle. 3 points total toward your 10-point CPD year.

How long do I have to complete them?

Each module has its own 12-month completion window from enrolment. We recommend completing them in order — the file builds from module to module.

I already own one of the three — do I pay full price?

No. Enter your MARN in the enrolment form and the price reduces by A$120 for each module you already hold; you're enrolled only in the ones you don't yet own.

What if it's not what I expected?

Our refund and cancellation policy applies — read it before you enrol.
